Australian hotel owners are using a new underwater scene to showcase how guests can enjoy a night out in their rooms, as part of a campaign to promote ocean life.
The underwater scene is one of three new videos being made in Australia, which will be showcased during the Australian Antarctic Program’s International Antarctic Congress in November.
The third video, called Sea Life, shows the dramatic emergence of an orange-coloured penguin from the ocean floor.
It was created by Sydney-based studio Sea Life.
The penguin’s underwater scene has also been shown on the Australian television program, The ABC’s Good Morning Australia, and was shown in a commercial.
The theme park and hotel owners hope the videos will encourage guests to return to their rooms and relax after a long day of sightseeing.
The video shows guests on a trip to the Australian Outback on one of the hotels’ underwater platforms.
A man is seen floating down the ocean’s surface while others watch.
The man is the first penguin to emerge from the water, according to Sea Life’s video.
The first penguins were discovered in the Great Barrier Reef in the 1960s and 1970s, but only a few have been seen alive since.
In 2014, a group of penguins ventured into the deep waters off the Queensland coast.
